An anti-spyware program created by Trend Micro, callled the HijackThis program, doesn't work in the same way as other similar programs. The program works by tracking down the vulnerabilities your computer has to outside forces changing your settings, like autorun items, registry keys, and browser helper objects. The HijackThis program flags programs that are suspect, creates a log of these items, and when you go into the program you can decide for yourself whether or not the programs are malware.
