Developed in conjunction with RMIT University, the BRW Fast 100 is widely accepted as the authoritative yearly guide to Australias fastest rising small and medium businesses. It rates the one hundred fastest growing SMEs by averaging their yearly income growth over three years. Participants in the guide come from many different sectors of Australian business.

Sense of Security is excited to participate in the 2009 BRW Fast 100. We gave careful consideration to our decision to enter this public ranking, as modesty usually dictates that our skills and experience speak for themselves. However, we decided that the time was right to have our business performance independently benchmarked against our competitors. We believe that our company is one of Australias best emerging businesses, and what better way to verify our performance than to participate in the 2009 BRW Fast 100.

For companies to be eligible to participate in the 2009 BRW Fast 100 they need to have had a turnover in excess of $500,000 in 2005-2006, and a turnover for 2008-2009 that was higher than that recorded in 2007-2008. To be eligible companies also needed to have fewer than 200 employees and could not be a subsidiary of an Australian or overseas-owned company. In addition, businesses that derived more than 50% of their turnover from a single client were ineligible to participate.

BRW has said in past years, that the Fast 100 companies and businesses have displayed many common attributes, which we here at Sense of Security have long believed gave us an edge over our competition. These attributes include firm leadership, emphasis on human resources, unequaled organizational culture, a culture of innovation, customer focus, adjusting strategies to meet market inventiveness and competition awareness. These are all values shared by us.

Entries for the 2009 BRW Fast 100 closed on 17 August and now we are looking forward to seeing the results which are scheduled to be published on October 29. Sense of Security would like to wish the very best of luck to all of the entrants in this years competition.
